12.16.16

I love this sweet video of making time for the ones we love.  It brings me to tears.  I love each and every one of your children.  I am proud of all they have accomplished this fall semester.

I hope this winter break gives you a chance to spend meaningful time with your friends and family.  I will see you all in 2017!

12.14.16

I have not done a great job about taking pictures this week.  We've been far too busy traveling the world :).

Here's a little run down!

On MONDAY, Mrs. Huckle let the teachers come play with clay in the art room.  YOURS TRULY got to make the VERY FIRST bowl on Pinkerton's new pottery wheel!  How exciting is that??

Inquirer is our IB attitude this week.  I LOVE how we have such inquirers in 1B!

Monday we traveled just within the United States and discussed a traditional christmas here in the US.

Tuesday we did Christmas in GERMANY!

We compared and contrasted the digital clock and the analog clock. LOTS of great observations!

We read this great story, Santa's Stuck.

Then we discussed how we would help Santa get unstuck!

Then we made our own circle maps about how we would help!

Off to Italy and England!

We enjoyed watching the Muppets Christmas Carol and watching this story from England.

We also loved listening to songs around the world!
Feliz Navidad- Mexico
Oh Christmas Tree- Germany
The Holly and the Ivy- England

Thank you Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Varnell for coming and watching our class so I could go enjoy the wonderful Christmas Luncheon provided from the PTO.
