I was finally able to finish up math assessments today.  I will be discussing results with you during our fall conference.

Our learner profile of the week!

We did a 3 act lesson on counting by 5s.

Then we practiced counting by 5s to Jack Hartmann.  He is crazy and fun!

Practice counting by 5s at home!

Then we used our number bead strings to practice counting by 5s.

We started our first IB unit today.  Our "hook" was having the high school earth science class come visit us.  They did some experiments about matter!  It was so much fun!

The 2 girls in the middle are my daughters and the girls on the outside are my nieces.  They are from Houston.  Thankfully their homes were safe from the flood.  But they got a bit bored being out of school so they came to Dallas to see us.  Today they joined us at school! :)
