Journal time!

On Thursdays we do Thankful Thursday! We do this every single Thursday.  We brainstormed LOTS of things we are thankful for. 

I love the things they picked for their first week.

We started practicing building our stamina during independent reading time. 

Then we practiced partner reading.  They will keep these partners for a few weeks!

We had a great first day of school!

Then we drank Jitter Juice to help get our jitters away!

We started our first Magic Tree house book. I have read through this series with every class I've taught. This is my 16th year to read this book. I love how every class I've taught falls in love with this series! :)

Welcome to first grade!

The first day of the 2018-2019 school year is almost here!  I can't believe it.  I can't wait to meet all of my new 1b ladybugs.  As a tradition, I always post MY first day of first grade picture.
