Last week we worked on learning the differences between a fairy tale and a fable. We talked about the elements of each.
I read 4 different stories to them that really could go either way. I had them vote on each story on what they thought it was, a fairy tale or a fable.
Then I paired them up with someone with like opinions and they debated the group with the opposite opinion.
We first learned what a debate even was and then on Friday we did them. They did such a great job!
