5.25.16

Today was Exhibition day!  5th graders who planned their own unit.  This year it was all centered around "How We Organize Ourselves".  They pick a topic within the lines of inquiry that THEY write.  They research and put together a presentation.  Then we as Pinkerton learners get to go watch their presentation.

There was 4 time slots given.  First grade went to the first 2.  They were given topics to choose from and then got to go listen to these presentations.

I am always blown away by these 5th graders.  They are so knowledgeable about the topic and are so professional presenting them.

I sat in on 2 as well.

This particular one was on "Sports Safety Equipment".

They even had a cool app they used to ask us questions and get information back from us!

The 2nd one I went to was on Girls Schooling.  This presentation was about girls in the world today that are not allowed to go to school.

We came back and reflected a little and then we presented our Six Flags project information.

We made signs for the Farmers Market.

2nd grade raises chicks at the end of each school year.  They came by to show us their chicks!

Then Mrs. Alles came by with some yummy treats to celebrate MY birthday a month early :).

Thank you all so much!!
