Every morning in our Morning Meeting we share our good news. I encourage them to share something good that happened since they left school the day before or since I saw them last. We have talked about what good news is. It could be anything but usually it isn't something real big. SOMETIMES we went got an Xbox the night before. But MOST nights we didn't. :) Good news can simply be that I had my favorite dinner last night. Today I recorded several friends sharing their good news. Enjoy!! :)
Number Talks

Today we made 120 number bead strings. We will use these for helping us count in many ways!
Literacy Stations
So far we have learned the stations "Read to Self", :"Read to Someone" and "Work on Writing".
We I introduced Work on Writing, we read "Library Mouse". Sam the mouse encourages us that we are ALL authors.
He made this box in the book so I made one for us. They can "meet the author" in the box and see themselves! :)

We talked about how teachers are authority figures and what they do.
Then we made tree maps with a partner about other authority figures.
Then they each made an authority figure book.
