Jude brought in this really good robot that is controlled by his ipad in for Show and Tell!

We have been working on recognizing coins and knowing their values this week. Today we introduced dime. Then we reviewed all the coin songs. It would be a fun way for you to practice the coins at home.

We read Room on the Broom and then did some reflection/extension writing about it.

Then we watched Room on a Broom and compared and contrasted the book to the movie.

Today we talked about different kinds of energy. We brainstormed all we could.

Then we went on an energy hunt around the room to see what we could find!

Rolling a dice to make numbers and then comparing them using the tens place. 

Practicing math facts on Reflex.

Seeing what around the room is and is NOT magnetic!

Pulled 2 different magnets off the chalkboard to feel the strength. 

Making numbers with base ten blocks. Then we added 10 to practicing counting by 10s from ANY NUMBER.

Watched the story 'Magnificent Thing'. We talked about how change takes place in this story. 

We learned this week about complete sentences. How you have to have a WHO/WHAT and then a WHAT THEY DID. 

We practiced writing complete sentences with silly phrases. 

We practiced using a magnet to make something move. 

Then we tried putting our magnets together and talked about what we noticed when we did this. The red ends would not stick together and the blue ends would not stick together!

Today the Coppell Fire Department came to talk to us about fire safety!
