What is an adaptation?? 

What is it like to have a keen sense of smell?

How would that help an animal survive?

Learners were given a small container with a smell in it.  They were told to waft the smell and then find friends with the matching smell.  

It was a little trickier than they expected!

Our IB attitude of the week is Cooperation.  We made a lexicon of it!

This morning we wrote the definition of Commitment in our morning journals and we drew a time we were committed to something.

In Writer's Workshop, we took the pictures we started last week and added a story to it.

Learners went to extended planning today so the teachers could start beginning of year reading assessments.  I love getting to read with each of them.  I will be sharing these results with you at our fall conference in October.
