Our new unit, Sharing the Planet. We are focusing on this idea:

I have finally gotten all the products in for the grant I received and got in all organized. Can't wait for our 1B ladybugs to start using it all.

We are writing this week about what animal adaptation we would like to have if we could pick. Yesterday we worked on our tree map for this writing.

We explored the adaptation of a "strong sense of smell". We were given a scent on a cotton ball and then we had to smell it and then find someone else in the room with a matching smell.

We talked yesterday of the camouflaged adaptation. We had a try and camouflage the fish into the piece of scrapbook paper.

Happy birthday to Aadhav!!

Today we learned about how bird beaks are adaptations. We practiced picking up different foods with different tools that served as a "bird beak".
