We started graphing today. We learned about picture graphs to start. 

To make our own picture graph, we wanted some authentic information. Each of us got our own question and went and asked 4th grade which they chose. 

We came back to analyze the data. 

We counted up how many chose each one.

Then graphed it. 

We talked today in phonics about the importance of paying attention to words while reading. How I was super impressed with someone who read "I know the answer" but recognized that the word know looks weird and that the k is silent. Then Rasheed brought us the names "Cookie Monster" and "Cinderella" to study and compare.

Later we got some confidential mail.

It was a letter asking us to take the challenge to become word detectives. Our first mission was to STOP when we notice a problem and fix it. We had fun noticing problems Mrs. Graves was making while reading and fixing them.

Morning stations!

Counting by 10s starting from any number. This can be a tricky concept. Practicing at home is always good!!

Our buddies came today! The last Friday of every month is game day. We had such fun playing games with our buddies!

Loved this book I was gifted from the book fair. It's about a sweet girl who wants to know the story of her name. We talked about if we knew the story of our own name. Some of us did and shared it with the class!
