Today we read "The Mixed-Up Chameleon".
We discussed each animal that was mentioned in the story. The chameleon is not happy with who he is and wants to be the other animals. Once he gets the other animal's adaptations (which are SO cool) a fly comes by and he can't eat it because his adaptations are gone. So he wishes to go back to being himself. Such a great story to teach the adaptations and how we should be who we are!
We made clear chameleons.
And then we also took paper chameleons and glued them to scrapbook paper and had to make it blend in with the paper.
Then we hid our clear chameleons around the room.
We went hunting for them!
We found them all!
