We reviewed elements of a fairy tale and fable and we compared and contrasted these elements.
Then I read these 3 stories and we watched Hansel and Gretel.
I asked them if they thought these 4 stories were a fairy tale OR a fable.
They filled out a google form to tell me what they thought.
With the information I gathered from the survey, I am going to put them in groups and have them debate whether their story is a fairy tale or fable.
But in order for us to do that, we have to learn what a debate is. We watched a short video to get a general idea.
