We will write in our journals every day. On Thursdays we will always write about what we are thankful for. At the beginning of each year I pose this challenge to the class. I really try to encourage them to come up with something they haven't said before. We have so much to be thankful for and as much as we love our families we can think of other things to say besides them each week. :)

Getting comfy during tumble books. :)
Today we read Chrysanthemum. This is a sweet story about a girl who goes to school and she gets made fun of because her name is so long. After we read the book we talked about how long our own names were.
We wrote down our names and counted the letters and graphed the data.
We played a fun "Find a Friend" game. We had to find different friends that matched the description.
We did some more independent reading practice today.
We got to 9 minutes today! I was very proud of them. They are already working really hard to get to where we need to be! The rewards they are trying to earn are also helping just a bit! :)
