We started our new unit, How the World Works, on Tuesday!
Our hook was this book, Tomorrow's alphabet.
This is an example page. This whole unit is about change. So this was perfect. They were then told to make up their own page to the book.
Our new central idea.
We were each given a pom pom. We talked about how they are the same and different.
We took turns telling how we could sort them.
We decided we could sort them by size.
Then we sorted them by color.
We wrote down some wonders for this unit.
We took a whole grade picture today at recess! :)
We talked about the properties of a solid.
Then we got mysteries bags of solids. We wrote down what was in the bag and then 2 property words to match the solid.
Today was our last day with Mrs. Wilson. We had a little going away party.
She read one final story to the class.
